Clean your vessel every three months. Use acidic mixtures such as lemon, tamarind or vinegar with salt and rub it gently on the inside of your copper product to remove stains, fill with water leave for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Avoid placing copper utensils in the dishwasher. Skip polishing, embrace the patina and allow your copper to age naturally like fine wine!

Never put hot liquid into a copper vessel or any milk product beside water; it will be harmful. The copper tends to react with the minerals and vitamins present in milk which can further lead to food poisoning. 

Change water every 3 to 6 hours and refill. Copper will slowly lose its shine once the water has been stored in the vessel and will age in time. Water may leak around the tap area due to water pressure if the tap isn’t installed correctly and tightly.
